Dr. AKM Quamruzzaman is serving at the Olericulture Division, Horticulture Research Centre, Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute, Bangladesh as Chief Scientific Officer. He joined BARI in 1995 as Scientific Officer. As a horticulturist, now he is the Chief breeder of Solanaceous and Cucurbitaceous vegetable research at BARI. Dr. Quamruzzaman got PhD degree in Horticulture from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) in 2011. During his 29 years of service, he developed over 37 vegetable varieties and published about 150 scientific articles in renowned local and international journals. He has a strong commitment to horticultural crop research, safe crop production, GAP, off-season year-round production, protective cultivation, Hybrid vegetable variety development and hybrid seed production.
